I’m sorry to say that this visit was below expectations. I have worked with you all in the past with a 5 star experience. This time however is not good. The tech was great and very nice. There seems to have been a change in policy where the owner - me - had to call and get the replacement part from LiftMaster. Major hassle. Then your tech came and it turns out the new part doesn’t fix anything so now I have to get LiftMaster to send a new motor I am told ! It’s now been 3-4 weeks without a functioning door and I can’t lift the big door manually at 80 years old. Your office staff is outstanding and most respectful.

We sincerely apologize for any warranty confusion on your operator purchased in 2017. LiftMaster covers lifetime motor replacements and does require homeowners to order replacements due to the motor being installed in your home. Precision does cover warranty/ replacement of any defective motors, one year from the manufacture date on operators installed.

Precision's product and Service Technicians were excellent. I give the Technicians a 5 star rating. The Houston office receives a 0 star rating. Telephone calls were not returned. Most emails were not answered. Once problems and errors occurred in ordering a replacement panel which caused a 13 month delay in getting the panel for my garage door, the Houston office struggled to provide accurate information or any information at all. At one point Precision promised to do the work for free due to all the delays and errors. It is a promise that was not kept much like the promise to return a simple phone call to get an update ETA delivery dates passed with no progress.

Serviced my Units for $300 and didn’t even help me set up MyQ. I find the price outrageous. Technician was friendly and personable but for 15 minutes of his time I’d expect that I can use the full range of features. And now im having to trudge up on a ladder to set up MyQ and it isn’t working because the unit is older.

The Garage Door technicians were right on time, polite, and courteous. The must be extremely knowledgeable. In less than 3 minutes without touching anything they were able to completely diagnose my door problem; Metal Fatigue (500.00) , Bearing Failure (100.00), new cables (100.00), new rail (65.00), plus labor and that's just getting started. I believe I remember having the Door, Opener, Senor's, and Installation complete done with tax 1625.00 less than 7 years ago. I think I'm in the wrong business

TOO expensive of a quote to fix spring that broke. $700 that's 75% of what new door cost.

My tech was amazing. Carefully review and understand your invoice. Can be a bit pricey shop around to make sure you get the most bang for your buck. It is a business. Spoke with management who granted a small adjustment on price. Overall service was excellent but I paid far to much for what I received.

Found the company listed online. When I called to set an appointment, I explained to the intake person that I had replaced the broken gear and sprocket on the opener, and it appeared the limit switch had also been damaged. The rep advised me that all common parts for Sears, Liftmaster and other major brands were on the technician's vehicles and he could replace it if needed. When the tech arrived, he looked at the opener, did his 25 point safety inspection, and provided a quote for over $400 (springs, pulleys, labor, etc.) He did not have the limit switch kit on his vehicle and was going to have to charge another trip charge to install the $17 part if he came back. I ordered the part online, bought new springs with safety cables and completed the process for less than $50. Not very happy with the fact the rep stated the parts should be on the tech's truck, but was not, and then was given an extremely high quote.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for the opportunity to come out to your home. We will take this as a learning experience and discuss these situations with our team. We apologize we did not have the parts on hand and will take action to prevent this from happening in the future.

My issue was that my outdoor/remote keypad was no longer opening the garage door. I asked Precision's On-line chat to help diagnose the problem, but they are not technical and only offered to send a technician. When the technician came, he immediately started looking for a replacement keypad. I asked the tech if he was going to trouble shoot the issue before replacing the entire keypad. After checking, the 9V battery was dead and was the cause of the issue. I gave him a new 9V battery and the keypad worked fine. For something like this, I would expect a little bit of trouble shooting guidance over the phone versus having to have a tech come out and charge $75 to replace a battery. I was happy when Precision installed the opener and upgraded the garage door springs, rollers, etc. a few years back, but I was not happy with this service call.

I had a 13 yr old Liftmaster 2280. The drive belt had became stripped, so I requested service. Wadi came out and insisted that he had to change both the belt and the rail assembly, claiming it was about the same price. He was going to charge me $100, but later, when I searched the net, I found that the belt alone normally costs about $60 retail. After installing the new belt and rail assembly, he was having a lot of trouble setting the travel extents for the door. After taking a long time doing various adjustments, the motor started to make strange noises and then shortly thereafter seized. Despite the web site's claim that their trucks are always fully stocked, the tech only had two replacement options, both Liftmasters the least expensive of which was $549. I wasn't in a position to take off time from work for yet another service call, so I elected to go with the Liftmaster. Wadi didn't charge me for the installation or the PM he did, but still, what should have been an easy, affordable fix cost me almost $600. If I have problems after the warranty period expires, I will probably look for a different company.

I really liked Your service representative that came out but the estimate sounded pretty high to me and in checking with 3 or 4 other companies I can't understand the over $1000 difference that I would elect to pay!! Thanks for the service rendered but I can't justify paying near the $3000 or $2500 quoted for the 24 or 25 gauge doors!!
